Asylum
As an asylum seeker, you have been forced to leave your country and need protection in Sweden. If you are fleeing from war and similar conditions or persecution due to nationality, race, religious or political beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, or membership in a particular social group, you have the right to seek asylum in Sweden. When you apply for asylum, you generally have the right to a public counsel, meaning the state pays the cost, and you have the right to choose your representative. The public counsel assists you after your asylum application and submits a written statement regarding your need of protection. The lawyer will be with you throughout the process at the Migration Agency as well as in court if an appeal is necessary. We provide advice and can help you with the legal information you need.

Residence Permits for Family Reunification
Whether you want to apply for a residence permit for yourself or for a family member who is in another country, you can get help from our legal team. One reason that can be the basis for a residence permit in Sweden is to reunite with a close relative. In exceptional cases, the application may be granted even if the applicant is already in Sweden, but as a general rule, the a application should be made before entering Sweden. To obtain a legal representative, a power of attorney from the person the application concerns is required, and you may need to pay for the legal assistance yourself.
